The European Week Against Cancer is a flagship initiative of the Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL), bringing together cancer leagues, health advocates, civil society organisations and policymakers to raise awareness about the importance of cancer prevention and care.
The European Week Against Cancer takes place every year from 25 to 31 May, concluding with World No Tobacco Day on 31 May.
Throughout the week, organisations and communities across Europe share information and organise activities focused on cancer prevention, early detection, healthy lifestyles and access to quality cancer care.
The week also provides an opportunity to highlight the importance of collaboration among different stakeholders and to support efforts towards reducing the burden of cancer and addressing inequalities in cancer prevention and care.
