The Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), responsible for the eCAN Plus website, considers the security of personal data a top priority. • 6(1)(b) contract – administration of member Portal accounts (if a user agreement exists)
• 6(1)(c) legal obligation – audit, funding, and record-keeping requirements
• 6(1)(e) public task – activities carried out as part of the eCAN Plus Joint Action
• 6(1)(f) legitimate interest – security and proper functioning of the website and Portal

3. Recipients of personal data

Personal data are accessed only by authorised personnel where necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Where required, personal data may be shared only with:

• Documents and files uploaded through the Portal are retained for the duration necessary to support the activities of the eCAN Plus Joint Action, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or funding obligations.
• Technical logs and security records are retained for a limited period necessary to ensure the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the website and Portal.

1. General terms of use of the eCAN Plus website 

The website https://ecanplus.eu/ (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) is the website of the Joint Action Enhancing the Digital Capabilities in Cancer Centres for Prevention and Care in the EU (eCAN Plus JA), aiming at improving the use and re-use of health in the cancer care pathway, strengthening collaboration among cancer centres and enhancing the digital skills of healthcare professionals across Europe. 

By navigating on and using the website, visitors/users acknowledge that they have read, understood and unconditionally accepted the Terms of Use. Use of the website following announcement of a modification shall be regarded as acceptance of the said modification by the visitors/users. Use of the website must be in accordance with all applicable laws (EU law and the international) and these Terms of Use as in force at any time.
