The Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology (MSCNRIO, in Poland) and the Fisabio Foundation (Spain) head the Evaluation work area, that will assess whether eCAN Plus is implemented as planned.

Work Package 3

The Evaluation WP ensures the quality, relevance and effectiveness of the Joint Action by monitoring risks and assessing progress towards the achievement of its objectives, including the relevance and quality of the deliverables.

It evaluates the pilots and use cases implemented in WP5, 6, 7, and 8., with a particular focus on the potential for secondary use of data and users’ experiences. As part of its efforts, it also assesses the preparedness of cancer centres for participation in HealthData@EU.

PUBLIC MILESTONES AND DELIVERABLES

Task 3.1: eCAN Plus Evaluation Plan (Milestone 14)

This evaluation plan outlines the approach for assessing the implementation and results of the eCAN Plus Joint Action at the project level. The evaluation focuses on a set of interlinked interventions contributing to the overall objectives of the Joint Action and is designed to support both continuous improvement and accountability.

Milestone 22: Initial internal ethical audit.

Milestone 23: Interim evaluation report 2.

Milestone 24: Draft report on the analysis of the involvement in the HealthData@EU infrastructure.

Milestone 25: Updated internal ethical audit.

Milestone 26: Interim evaluation report 3.

Milestone 27: Completed assessment of users’ experience, feedback and usage data.

Milestone 28: Completion of final Interoperability and Data Quality Analysis.

Interim Evaluation Report

The interim evaluation is a document that confirms successful implementation of the eCAN Joint Action (JA) mid-project. Almost all milestones and deliverables planned for the first year have been achieved. Delayed milestones and deliverables have no impact on project implementation.

Final Evaluation Report

This document reports on the evaluation of the eCAN JA. As part of the monitoring and evaluation task, coordinated by WP3, this report evaluates the achievement of the project’s objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); the risks, challenges and mitigation strategies identified and developed during the project’s life and the overall satisfaction with the project among participants.
