The Region of Southern Denmark (RSYD) aims to enhance digital collaboration within and between cancer centres and across sectors. It develops two use cases focused on cross-European Virtual Tumour Boards, including Virtual Molecular Tumour Boards, and digitally facilitated patient transitions, such as discharged conferences.

WP6 – Collaborative clinical decision-making in diagnostics, treatment, and care across cancer centres

Work Package 6

This WP aims to enhance digital collaboration within and between cancer centres and across sectors. It develops two use cases focused on cross-European Virtual Tumour Boards, including Virtual Molecular Tumour Boards, and digitally facilitated patient transitions, such as discharged conferences.

The WP tests technical and clinical frameworks in selected healthcare settings, leveraging existing EU-developed digital tools, and collects evidence on performance, usability and outcomes while ensuring data privacy and security. Based on these results, it delivers final recommendations on interoperability standards, collaborative digital frameworks and best practices, in alignment with the European Health Data Space and other EU infrastructures.

As preparatory steps, WP6 maps existing infrastructure, digital tools and interoperability frameworks for the secure exchange of health data and set two experts boards to assess the design and implementation of the two use cases.

Deliverable 11: Comprehensive Mapping Report

Report on the outputs of the mapping activities including state of play on both technical and collaborative elements of the HCP-HCP usage of digital tools.

Deliverable 12: Scalability report.

Report detailing the findings of existing CC infrastructure, interoperability guidelines, and legal framework for health data exchange, EHDS regulations, and cross-border digital collaborations.

Deliverable 13: Final Recommendations Report.

Report containing final recommendations for a collaborative digital framework and interoperability standards for medical data exchange, including examples of good practices.

Guidelines and recommendations on cybersecurity and legal/ethical issues of telemedicine

This document provides guidelines and recommendations on the legal, ethical and cybersecurity framework for telemedicine under the eCAN Joint Action. It addresses the importance of implementing security measures in teleconsultation and clinical data storage platforms, highlighting the assessment of vulnerabilities in software and the protection of sensitive data. It also presents an analysis of the impact of the digital divide on access to telemedicine services and highlights the need for accessible interfaces, cybersecurity training and policies to ensure equitable access.

eCAN App Privacy and Data Protection Policy

This document outlines the privacy policy for the eCAN application and emphasises the commitment for protecting user information. It details the types of data collected, such as personal and usage data, and explains how this information is used to analyse user experience and responses. It also presents the security measures in place to protect user data and informs users of their rights and options to control their data.
